Description

This small book is the eleventh and final instalment to the prayer known as the 'Jap Jī'. This prayer can be found on the initial eight pages of Srī Gurū Granth Sāhib Jī. This small publication covers stanzās thirty-six to the Salok of the Srī Jap Jī Sāhib. This is formed through a question-and-answer session between Srī Gurū Nānak Dev Jī and the Sidhs. This book continues from the point where the previous publication left off. I have written this book in an attempt to show the world how deep the philosophy of the Sikh message is and to bring it to the general public. Previously, all translations of this text and mantrā have been so basic that they have not done justice to the deep thinking and metaphysical nature of such a text. This prayer is the greatest jewel in the scriptural writings of the Gurūs and there have been so many commentaries on this text that the terms and interpretations seem endless. Like most works, there may be some controversies on different parts of the texts and where mantrās commence and end. However, for me this text is to show how Gurbānī is endless and gives an insight into the definitions passed down for centuries.
