In Healthcare Environmental Services, first impressions of your facility are very important to patients, family and staff, and you need to strive daily to provide a clean, safe and attractive environment. It is essential that that patient rooms are cleaned to the highest level to prevent cross contamination. The hospital staff and patients depend on this to do their job with excellence.With cleanliness as a prime concern and a clean and safe environment our overriding desire, I wrote this book, the first in a series, to serve as a primer for the successful healthcare environmental services department.

John Michael Weir holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations Management and has worked in Healthcare Environmental Services for more than sixteen years. John started as a part time housekeeper working up to Director level over multiple departments and million dollar budgets. John is married with two wonderful children and currently lives in Northern California.
