I truly believe God has created each and every one of us with a void or a hole in our heart from the moment of birth--a hole that, when you have everything else based on sight, still yearns because it isn't filled. It starts to hurt, even though you have everything the world promised. The hole can never be filled with anything until you realize God loves you.
