Classmates Cindy, David J, Tommy, and Conrad identify well with a boy in an ancient story who was mistreated and ignored because of his disability. The story read to them by their teacher is about King David and Methibosheth (nicknamed Seth in this book). The children learn from Seth and from a forgotten box of red marbles that each person, even if they are different from everyone else, has special value which is revealed more strikingly when the Light shines through them.

Your child will be touched with compassion and will realize that mistreating or bullying people with disabilities is very wrong.
