Description
The study of how living things function normally is called physiology. It is a subfield of biology that focuses on organs, anatomy, cells, and biological compounds, as well as their interactions to make life possible.
Physiological research has shaped our understanding of the parts of our bodies, how they communicate with one another, and how they keep us alive, from ancient theories to molecular laboratory methods.
Physiology is defined by Merriam-Webster as:
" a] branch of biology that deals with the functions and activities of life or living matter (such as organs, tissues, or cells) as well as the associated physical and chemical phenomena."
In a way, studying physiology is studying life. It inquiries into the internal workings of organisms and their interactions with the environment.
The study of physiology looks at how the body's systems and organs function, communicate, and work together to create favorable conditions for survival.
