"It has been a very tumultuous night for the Ogbonnaya as they all sat despondently in the living room of the family house. There was his wife Adamma whose pregnancy had entered into the tenth month. There were his two lovely daughters Nkechi and Ogo twelve and ten years respectively. Nkechi, all fair and pretty with her father's slim figure which was the prominent characteristics of the Ogbonnaya, Ogo with her chocolate skin and those piercing blue eyes showed some traits of plumpness possibly from her mother's side. Her mother had been one of the most beautiful girls in her village when she was young. That beauty has remained untouched, not even child bearing could change that.

But quivering in pain for most of the night with both of her hands clutching her big tummy, there was little of that beauty in the tired woman who had been groaning with pain throughout the night. And the whole school had for weeks been rehearsing the march past that will be taking place at the district headquarters in Arochukwu. the few students that will be representing the school had all been given the green white green flag that will be flown for the first time tomorrow, alas he will not be attending the celebration, not when her mother was this sick."
